The trustees of the Max & Helen Guernsey Charitable Foundation are working to provide additional support to our nonprofit partners during this time of uncertainty and crisis. We are continuously monitoring the immediate needs of the community, especially as it relates to basic needs for the most vulnerable people, as well as assess the ongoing and lasting impacts that this outbreak will have on the region.
FLEXIBILITY FOR CURRENT GRANTEES
Current grantee whose programs or projects have been interrupted, changed, or have seen increased need because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are encouraged to contact the foundation's office to let us know how we can help. Our Executive Director can be reached at 319-226-3434 or via email. We are working to stay informed of the ever-changing needs in the community to inform our current, immediate response as well as our future grantmaking priorities.
FIND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
To help get emergency funds disbursed quickly to nonprofits on the front line of the COVID-19 response, the Guernsey Charitable Foundation contributed to the Black Hawk County COVID-19 Cooperative Disaster Response Fund, held and coordinated by the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. In addition to the fund for Black Hawk County, several community foundation affiliates have created disaster relief funds to support nonprofits all across the region during this pandemic.
If you are a nonprofit whose programs or services have seen increased need or increased costs to provide essential services to the community because of the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa's website to learn how to apply for emergency funding.
